UMCF Series Automatic Self-Scraping Filter with PTFE Scraper for Viscous Liquid Filtration

Automatic Self Scrape Filter

Automatic Self-Scraping Filtration for High-Viscosity Industrial Liquids

CMI UMCF Series Automatic Self-Scraping Filters are engineered for the continuous filtration of high-viscosity and high-solid-content liquids where conventional bag or cartridge filters are not suitable.

The fully automatic system utilizes a vertically driven PTFE (Teflon) scraping disc to continuously clean the inner surface of a heavy-duty wedge-wire filter element without interrupting process flow.

Capable of handling viscosities up to 1,000,000 cps, the UMCF series provides a reliable zero-consumable filtration solution that significantly reduces operating costs, manual maintenance, and downtime.

With a filtration range of 25–400 μm, product loss below 1%, and robust SS304 / SS316L construction, the UMCF system is widely used for demanding applications including adhesives, resins, coatings, edible oils, inks, and other difficult industrial fluids.

Automatic Self-Scraping Filtration for High-Viscosity Industrial Liquids

CMI UMCF Series Automatic Self-Scraping Filters are engineered for continuous filtration of high-viscosity and high-solid-content liquids where traditional bag or cartridge filters are not suitable.

The fully automatic system utilizes a vertically driven PTFE (Teflon) scraping disc to continuously clean the inner surface of a heavy-duty wedge-wire filter element without interrupting process flow.

Capable of handling viscosities up to 1,000,000 cps, the UMCF series provides a reliable zero-consumable filtration solution that significantly reduces operating costs, maintenance downtime, and product loss.

Widely used in adhesives, resins, coatings, edible oils, inks, pulp & paper, and chemical processing, the UMCF system delivers stable continuous filtration for demanding industrial liquids.

Working Principle

The system operates by moving a PTFE scraper disc vertically inside the wedge-wire filter element, continuously removing contaminants from the filtration surface during operation.

Scraping Disc Mechanism

  • Dual pneumatic actuator drives vertical movement
  • PTFE disc with wiping and scraping edges
  • Continuous contact with wedge-wire surface
  • Solids are removed and directed downward during operation
  • Accumulated solids are discharged through automatic drain valve

This design enables continuous filtration without stopping flow or opening the vessel.
