Sintered Metal Pleated Filter
CMI Sintered Metal Pleated Filters are high-efficiency filtration elements engineered to provide maximum surface area within a compact footprint. Manufactured by pleating multi-layer sintered metal mesh or fiber felt media, these filters significantly increase effective filtration area, enabling higher flow rates and lower pressure drops compared to traditional cylindrical designs.
The media is bonded through high-temperature vacuum sintering, ensuring exceptional mechanical strength and stability under extreme temperatures (–269°C to 480°C) and high-viscosity conditions. By allowing the use of smaller housings, our pleated filters help reduce overall system cost and equipment footprint. Fully reusable via backwashing or ultrasonic cleaning, they offer an extended service life and high dirt-holding capacity (up to 41 mg/cm²), making them the ideal choice for demanding applications in polymer processing, aerospace, and petrochemical purification.
