Porous Plastic Components
CMI Porous Plastic Components are engineered from advanced polymers including UHMWPE, PE, and PTFE to provide precise filtration, venting, and fluid management. Using controlled sintering and molding processes, these components offer a uniform pore structure (5 – 200 μm) and exceptional chemical stability.
Designed as high-performance and cost-effective alternatives to POREX® components, CMI porous plastics are widely utilized as chromatography frits, hydrophobic vents, and humidifier wicks. Our capabilities support complex molded shapes with hydrophobic or hydrophilic surface treatments, making them ideal for medical devices, laboratory instruments, and industrial electronics where lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and high-purity materials are essential.
